Sony is refunding players Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 because the game is not running well on the old-gen consoles.
CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the most awaited game released just a couple of days ago but
it has not been all sunshine for the game fans, apparently, the game has a lot of bugs which can be
experienced by both PC and Console players but the pain of console players playing it on old-gen consoles
are nowhere to be match with PC players.
The game have a lot of bugs from each section including the graphics error, the reason for this can be:
one, the game is not optimized for old-gen consoles or the consoles does not have enough spec to run
the game at its fullest.
As a result, Sony are making an exception to allow refunds to be processed for the game, even after
the usual grace period, according to players on Reddit who have made requests.
Sony refunding players Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4
“PSA: Sony is issuing refunds even passed the 2 hour play time for digital games, if you file a refund claim and talk to a rep,” a post on the Cyberpunk subreddit states.
According to the player it was not one click step, players “had to file a support claim online and sit on hold for over an hour to speak with someone.” But, after doing so, Sony “were quick to issue the refund and then delete the game off my library.”
After this many players quickly joined the queue to refund the amount but Sony have denied some of them.
One of the player who managed to get the refund says: “Spent an hour on the phone after being denied by Chatbot and I got my refund! Shout out to u/SirPanic12 for the advice on mentioning the game crashing and not being able to progress further. That’s pretty much all I had to say.”
In the Reddit thread there are multiple comments of players claiming that they did not get any refund from the company. Although the company does not have any refund policy, they do refunds on “exceptional circumstances”
