Apex Legends community has had enough of Respawn developers recycling old LTMs – they have now taken over Reddit to complain about “recycled” LTMs and here is what developers have to say about this.
First of all to let you guys know that this is not the first time when this topic is being discussed in the
community but players are still filing new complaints about Apex developers way of recycling old LTMs
instead of releasing new ones.
However, Apex had a variety of Limited time modes back in 2019, but they keeps bringing back fan-favorites
such as Armed & Dangerous and Always be Closing on a regular basis.
Although, these all are fan-favourites which means they are surely fun to play with friends but some
members of the community see this as a low effort from developers to just recycle LTMs. However, senior game designer Daniel Klien has explained the team’s point of view.

Apex dev responds to complaints of “recycled” LTMs
The complaints started to pour in on Holo-Day Bash announcement thread which led to a response from
the dev. A number of players had expressed their disappointment that ‘Winter Express’ was just another “recycled” mode.

The game designer does not miss out to highlight the amount of effort that had gone into perfecting and reworking the ‘Winter Express’ mode: “between the supply ships and the new stations and a LOT of behind the scenes changes to reduce downtime it feels so much better to me.”
This led to an extremely to-the-point statement from the developer that revealed the exact reason Respawn choose to bring back fan-favorite LTMs:
“Real talk… everyone ASKS for game modes but looking at our numbers, it doesn’t seem like people play them nearly enough for us to put in the
amount of effort required to make a new mode.”

Well, this seems to be true at a point because why would someone pour so much effort and hard work if their work is not getting enough attention
for him to keep going on. Despite having low players interest developers dedicate their time and hard work to rework on the old LTMs to make it
more exciting.
