Ryan Haywood banned on Twitch after the Rooster Teeth start tried to attempt a comeback on the platform. He was removed from the team after sexual allegations.
The dishonoured Teeth star Hunter would not be able to interact with the gaming community
through Twitch anymore. Haywood’s personal account by the name of ‘SortaMaliciousGaming’
is now permanently banned from the platform.
After more than a dozen allegations against him, Haywood was removed from Rooster Teeth
team back in October 2020. And after a few weeks of silence he attempted to the internet through
Twitch at the start of the new year.
As soon as he returned Twitter was flooded by #BanRyanHaywood hashtag, asking Twitch to ban
the hunter. Which was then answered by Twitch on January 20 that they have completely banned
his Twitch account.
However, before leaving the platform Haywood shares a lengthy message with his remaining followers.
“I wanted to say thank you to all of you who are still subscribed,” he said. “I’ve spent the last few months figuring out what the next steps are. Through all of it, having your support has been an incredible help.”
After which many people criticized Twitch for letting him raise his voice on the platform.
Haywood had previously used social media to groom multiple fans over a number of years.
Many had even engaged in intimate relations while underage. “I made mistakes and will be leaving RT to focus on rebuilding my family and life,” he said on Twitter on October 6. “I’m sorry to anyone I’ve hurt.”
Because of being a Predator all these years despite multiple allegations, his presence from the
platform has been completely removed and so does his years of content.
After the news broke out many of his colleagues took it to Twitter in support of the community.
“I’ll keep you updated on what’s going on,” Haywood added in his message on Twitch prior to the ban, implying that it would be his only form of communication moving forward into 2021.
