Logitech G Pro X Gaming Headset Review – Intro

Logitech acquired Blue Microphones in 2018 for $117 million. And after that, this is the First Logitech x Blue Microphone Product in X Series gaming headsets.
If you want to buy this Headset it will cost you around $129.
The Design of the Pro X headset is minimal with no buttons at all on the headset but it does have some buttons on the cable.
It looks kind of similar to the Hyper X Cloud series – similar design of Headband and embroidery of PRO in the leather.
Also, the aluminium extensions or hinges (whatever you call them) looks kind of similar to Beyerdynamic headsets.
Next thing there is no rotation “the 90-degree rotations” in the headset like the previous G Pro headset.
Overall the Logitech G Pro X headset is toned with black matte – plastic whereas the famous “G” logo is printed in silver on the outer part of both ear cups.
One best thing about this headset is that it comes with these detachable microphones, so you can wear them outside and would not attract attention as Sun Heiser series.
Logitech G Pro X headset features the same 50 millimetres Pro G drivers same as previous G Pro headsets.
But the drivers in this headset has been tuned slightly which made them sound even better.

Logitech G Pro X headset – Build Quality Review

The build quality of the Logitech G Pro X headset is premium with this all-black matte finish and a little bit of aluminium touch to it – it all kind of look classic and more premium than the last G PRO series headset which has these like plasticky feel to it.
Also, these headsets are super flexible you can twist turn and whatever (why would you do that) but still it.
It also has these aluminium extensions which means it can fit any head size.
Then, there is this detachable microphone which makes it a lot easier to carry out and chill while not gaming.
The ear cups are super comfortable, clamping pressure is perfect which is a good thing to have because you do not want to hear any other kind of fan noise or what so ever while being in a 1 v 1 situation – it creates a nice seal around the year.
Also if you wear any glasses or stuff while gaming – it fits all.
Sound Quality – Review
Logitech G Pro X headset comes with the same slightly tuned/upgraded 50 millimetre G Pro drivers.
It has the frequency response of 20 Hz – 20 kHz with an impedance of 35 ohms and sensitivity of 91.7 dB SPL @1 mW & 1 cm
Well, enough of that technical stats let’s check what it really sounds like.
The G Pro X sounds a bit more natural, crisp and detailed than the last G Pro headset, It has these nice natural feel to it.
It feels like you are hearing things the exact same way that they are meant to be.
The base you hear is original they are not boosted and you can also tune them in the Dongle without increasing the distortion or noise.
And one thing that has been improved in this headset is the Sound stage.
In this G Pro X headset, the soundstage is lot more closed than the previous G Pro headset which makes a sound lot more clear and crisp.
Overall the sound quality is a lot more Clear, natural and sealed which means that movies and music will also sound better.
Logitech G Pro X – Mic Test

Logitech G Pro X headset has collaborated with Blue Voice Microphones which means you have to have the best mic quality overall.
Well, I must say they have really done a great job on Microphone with all these preset and EQ save and share options.
Here you get two option either to use the microphone with Blue voice or without it.
At first, it will be set to Stock Mic and just right below it, you can see the option to enable Blue Voice.
And as soon as you hit that enable button you will notice a big change in the sound quality.
The one cool feature about this headset is that it comes with these pre-loaded presets of different players and blue voice presets.
You can play around with these settings and tune your best version and if you are not familiar with it then they have also implemented these little descriptions to every setting that you can change.
Also, you can save and share your personal EQ settings – now you can download your favourite streamer or caster mic settings and use them in your streams.
Also this time they have given a “MIC Test” button which you do not see much on different microphone software.
There are tons of changes that you can make inside the microphone software which means you do not have to hustle to tweak and tune your sound later.
And also you need to have to use the USB Dongle because it is what makes this magic possible.
But one Con about this mic is the Surround Sound settings it is just bad when you enable it.
Conclusion: Logitech G Pro X Headset Review

Well, overall Build Quality of the Headset is awesome, Clamp Pressure, Ear Comfort is phenomenal.
Sound Quality is much better than the previous version.
The microphone is Phenomenal.
With this G Pro X headset if you stream or do stuff like that you do not have to spend separately on Mic and Headphones for the best quality possible because the both on this headset is just phenomenal.
One “bad” thing about this Logitech G Pro X headset is it’s surround sound feature which is kind of bad or you can say just not up the expectations from a headset at this price range but, if you neglect that everything is just fine.
Now one question you guys must be thinking if the Dongle Does all the work why do we need to buy the Whole Logitech G Pro X headset.
Well, the thing is they do not sell Dongle Separately because when I tested it with other microphones it sounded terrible and Logitech do not want to spoil your experience with Blue Voice – which is pretty favourable for us.
This is the best Gaming Headset under $130 and big thumbs up for Logitech for acquiring Blue Voice.
