Epic Games developers have confirmed Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 start date and also shared details about v11.50 patch.
At first Fortnite developers announced that they will be shifting Season 1 ending date to two more weeks.
And now, developers have officially confirmed that no more extension will be taking place in future.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 release date
On January 25, in an announcement post-Fortnite developers announced that Chapter 2 Season 2 will start from February 20 and this is the final date for the next season to start.
An official statement said: “Beginning with the release of the 11.50 update in early February, Fortnite will be moving to Unreal Engine’s Chaos physics engine. At launch, the goal is to ensure that Fortnite still feels like Fortnite. Along the way there will be some bumps, so we’re starting tests with a small group of players.”

But apart from just season 2 release date, there was also something else teased by Epic Games, With the addition of the 11.50 update, Chapter 2 – Season 2 is now expected to launch Thursday, February 20. Chapter 2 – Season 2 will feature Blank” with multiple “Blank”. We can’t brief you on all of next Season’s secrets just yet…
These blank spaces can mean a lot of things, maybe a new crossover because Fortnite has been teasing a crossover with “Birds of Prey” lately, it can be anything you never knows.
Well, in November 2019, for the first time Season 1 extension plan was revealed.
And it is more likely to see teasers for Season 2 in upcoming weeks.
