Apex Legends cross-play is one of the most requested features of the game from players all around the world and here is everything we know so far about it.

Cross-platform or “cross-play” is a feature which gives access to PC/PS 4/Xbox
and mobile players to play against and alongside each other in the same match.

It is a win-win situation for both players and game as it allows more players to
join the game, players can play with their friends despite being on completely
different platforms.

The first-ever battle royale to get cross-play was “Fortnite” and the next game
in line for “cross-play” is “CoD: Warzone” and since its first release Apex Legends
players have been desperately asking for this feature.

So, here we are giving away every details we know so far about Apex Legends cross-play.

Apex Legends cross-play

In June 2019 for the first time Respawn openly talked about this topic, they said
that they are very much looking forward to bring cross-play in Apex Legends
but it was a “ginormous amount of effort and work” for their smaller team of developers at the time.

However, now it has been almost a year since that announcement and now it looks
like Respawn will finally be giving players what they were asking for so long.

Respawn have now opened up an entirely new studio in Vancouver which is solely dedicated to Apex Legends. With the success of the game so far, and the increasing resources, it is very likely that this new studio will focus on cross-play and will soon gift players the opportunity to play together despite being on different platforms.

This is what developers said during an interview with GameInformer.

“I think on crossplay we see it’s something that is kind of expected in the industry,
and is important to a game like ours,” Respawn told GameInformer, (We) are
obviously big fans of playing our game — at work and in our free time — and we
go home on a Friday or weekend and want to play with each other and we’re on different systems.”

However, the data files from such feature were leaked by the data miner
That1MiningGuy earlier in a video in September 2019, which is now deleted because data miner closed down his YouTube channel.

The data miner also revealed that the developers are adding PIN’s to the game
and these PIN’s will be used as and identity number for players among different

Anyhow there is still not a word from Respawn on Apex Legends cross-play
release even after these leaks and numerous requests.

What platforms will be available in crossplay?

Apex Legends cross-play will be available on all the same platforms as of other cross-platform games like Warzone and Fortnite.

This will include, Xbox, Ps4, and PC, however in May there were leaks about a
mobile version of the game and it is most likely that cross-platform feature
will surely include the mobile version.

However, there is no official confirmation from Respawn Entertainment so we just have to wait until further information, but we will update you as soon as we get any information on the topic.
